Recent Changes with Blue Cross Blue Shield AZ
- New subsidiary: Prosano Health Solutions. On June 29, 2023, BCBSAZ launched a new subsidiary, Prosano Health Solutions, which will focus on providing value-based care and improving health outcomes for members.
- Medicaid redetermination. BCBSAZ is ready to support the 600,000 Arizonans who are enrolled in Medicaid through the redetermination process, which will begin in May 2023.
- Agreement with Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center. On April 28, 2023, BCBSAZ reached an agreement with Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, ensuring that BCBSAZ members will continue to have in-network access to the hospital’s services.
- Changes to BCBSAZ Health Choice. BCBSAZ Health Choice and Steward Health Choice Generations are now owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. As a result, the plan names will be changing to BCBSAZ Health Choice and Health Choice Generations. Members will receive new ID cards sometime in 2023, but they can continue to use their current ID cards until they receive their new ones.

Individual & Family Plans
BCBSAZ offers a range of individual and family plans, including Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans.
